Áine McNamara

Director - Ballet Teacher - Acrobatics Teacher

With fifteen+ years of experience, Aine McNamara stands as a dedicated ballet teacher, deeply committed to the art of dance. Trained and certified by the esteemed Bolshoi Ballet Academy, Aine has honed her craft with a commitment to excellence in both technique and artistry.

Registered with ARBTA (Association of Russian Ballet and Theatre Arts), Aine offers a comprehensive ballet curriculum that includes both classical ballet and character exams, focusing on fostering a solid foundation in her students. Her belief in maintaining high standards is reflected in her commitment to providing a well-rounded dance education.

In addition to her ballet expertise, Aine is a certified Acrobatic Arts teacher. Her ability to offer and conduct Acrobatic Arts exams, ensures a versatile training experience for her students.

Yet, beyond her qualifications, Aine’s true passion lies in cultivating a supportive and encouraging atmosphere for her students. Known for her nurturing and supportive approach, she creates an environment where each dancer feels valued and inspired to reach their fullest potential. Recognizing the unique strengths in each dancer, she strives to create an environment where they can explore their potential with both creativity and joy. Aine’s teaching philosophy extends beyond the dance studio, instilling not only technical proficiency but also a deep appreciation for the artistry and expression that ballet embodies.

Sarah Whelan

Meet Sarah Whelan, our devoted ballet instructor with over a decade of experience teaching. Sarah and Aine began dancing and working together at the ages of 13 and 18, forging a lifelong connection that has greatly enriched their collaboration. Sarah’s journey in the world of dance has been marked by a profound commitment to nurturing young talents.

Certified in Acrobatic Arts and registered with ARBTA (Association of Russian Ballet and Theatre Arts), Sarah brings a wealth of experience and a unique synergy with Aine to our ballet school. Their enduring partnership reflects not only a shared history but also a commitment to excellence in dance education. Sarah’s dedication to maintaining high standards aligns seamlessly with the values upheld by our ballet school.

In addition to her role in dance education, Sarah is a preschool teacher, holding an honors degree in early childhood education. Her deep understanding of early development aligns seamlessly with her special interest in introducing the youngest ballet students to the joy of music and movement. She is passionate about the importance of fostering a love for dance from the very beginning.

In every class, Sarah combines her ballet proficiency with a nurturing and encouraging teaching style. Her passion for both ballet and early childhood education creates an environment where young dancers not only learn the fundamentals of dance but also experience the joy of self-expression.
